A Question I've Been Asking Myself Lately (And Why)

Good morning and Happy Friday!
Welcome to another edition of The Matt Viera Newsletter.
Thank you for your continued support.
I spend a lot of my time thinking about financial freedom.
What I mean by "financial freedom" is the ability to do what I want, when I want, wherever I want without relying on a 9-5 job for a paycheck.
But lately, one question I've been asking myself is this:
How can I achieve financial freedom while living in New York City?
For a few reasons:
Reason #1: The cost of living in New York City is 95% higher than the national average.
Reason #2: New York City housing is 258% more expensive than the U.S. average.
Reason #3: I don't know of anyone who has achieved financial freedom while living in New York City.
To wrestle with this question, a few things I am doing are:
Learning more about effective personal finance management through courses and books.
Exploring my options to reduce my cost of living expenses and increase my income.
Budgeting my money (for the first time in my life).
Investing & saving money.
But I think it'll be a while before I come to any sort of solid conclusion.
Until then, I'll continue to write about my journey to financial freedom to share with you.
(And if you have a clear answer to this question, I'd love to hear from you).
