13 of the Best Countries For You To Move To

If you're serious about moving to another country

Good morning!

There are two topics I rarely discuss with anyone except with a few select individuals.

Those two topics are politics and religion.

And after last week's election, I will not start now.

Those topics are outside the scope of this newsletter.

But it is interesting that when an election does not go as people had hoped for, one idea they explore is moving to another country.

While browsing the internet last week, I came across a few articles recommending the best countries for Americans to move to because of how the election turned out last week.

Honestly, I am interested in moving to and living in another country.

This interest is not because of who won or lost an election but because I have lived in different countries, and those experiences are some of the best life experiences I have ever had.

While moving to another country is not one of my immediate life goals, spending at least a month (or more) in different countries is an important part of my life.

And I enjoy researching different countries to move to because maybe, just maybe, that's something I may want to pursue in the future when I (and my SO) no longer have to trade time for money.

If nothing else, it gives me ideas for my next mini-retirement.

But if you're serious about moving to another country, here are 13 of the best countries for Americans to move to (according to Forbes):

Quick note:

I will not publish a newsletter article next week because I am currently packing and moving to my new home.

I will return on November 26, 2024.

Quote that caught my attention:

"I can't think of anything that excites a greater sense of childlike wonder than to be in a country where you are ignorant of almost everything. Suddenly you are five years old again. You can't read anything, you have only the most rudimentary sense of how things work, you can't even reliably cross a street without endangering your life. Your whole existence becomes a series of interesting guesses."
